We just entered into year twenty ten the right way: good friends, Martinelli’s, a live stream of time square and amazing [legal] fireworks. Our friends, Justin and Krista, or Krustin, if you wanna use their Hollywood celebrity name, just flew in from California and we’re having an epic time.
This year I’m looking forward to God doing incredible things. I’m going to attempt to keep my eyes fixed upon Jesus, seeking to glorify Him with every ounce of energy and creativity within me. I want to grow closer to Him, know Him more and experience His love in deeper ways than ever before. I want to obtain vision from Him and then run with that vision with all my heart. Twenty ten is the year for celebration, change, life, new direction. Let the good times roll!
A while ago I came across this site, animalswithlightsabers.com, through a tweet from the David Crowder Band. Soon after, checking this site daily became an obsession of mine, being how amazingly cool it was. I then began to sculpt my own animal with a light saber. I started out with our cat, Metallica, but thought that was too cliche. I then went on to this picture I had taken of a camel, I mean, how funny would it be to have a camel holding a lightsaber, right? That didn’t work out too well though, so I moved on to a picture I had taken of some cute, little turtles at Sea World. I think it turned out pretty cool.
I sent it to the website to see if they would post it. I’m pretty sure they just post anything people send to them, but, nonetheless, it’s on there now! Click here for the permalink. Here are before and after pictures…
The other night, Chrissy brought up the whole how many states can you name game. I was up for the task and felt fairly confident. This is easy. I’ll just list all the ones I can remember in alphabetical order and from there, go through each letter and go through a process of elimination. I was sorely mistaken. I barely got to forty-two states and that was after like three days of trying. The funny thing about this game is, you’re suddenly noticing every time someone mentions a state. Today someone mentioned Wisconsin and I just about punched myself in the face. “Wisconsin, how could I have forgotten that one!” Below is my pathetic list. If you wish to play the game, don’t continue reading!
